As parents, we’re always scouting for kid-friendly, outdoor places to go where we can relax with a drink while Romeo runs around playing. We luckily found a place in Carpinteria called Padaro Beach Grill. It’s right off the 101 freeway, on the way to Santa Barbara. It’s like a little slice of tropical paradise, next to the beach, that’s perfect for kids! There’s a giant sand area in the middle of the outdoor area and picnic tables all around to eat lunch. It’s next to train tracks (fully blocked off, so no need to worry!) and the kids always run up to the fence to watch the train go by up close, which is awesome. There’s a beautiful beach only a few feet away to play at as well. The food is good, it’s not the best ever, but it’s really all about the atmosphere, which is beyond amazing. There are a few cute stores next to it too, so you can sneak away for some quick shopping!
